Milna lies on the western coast of the island of Brač and it is popular as tourist destination as well as the sailing harbor since it features beautiful deep bay, protected from the strong wind, waves and currents. In ancients time Milna was a village of the shipbuilders as well as the fishermen.

 Anyone looking to explore the surroundings will be thrilled by the many hidden coves, in particular the Lučice bay, Bobovišće harbor and the nearby village of Ložišća ( 2 km away.  Despite today’s modern influences Ložišća kept its original architecture, a must while on Brac as well as the Bobovišća ) . And lastly, one of the most characteristic things about Milna is the tiny island of Mrduja, located at the entrance to the harbor.

Four of the routes start in Milna, and it is possible to rent bicycles in Milna as well. This is a great way to see the island and all it has to offer.

– Tugging of Mrduja: - the event of “pulling” the small island of Mrduja takes place on the sea, between the islands of Brač and Šolta. Boats representing these two islands use ropes to pull Mrduja, in opposing directions, toward their respective islands. To take part you can either use your own boat, rent one, or board the big command boat. Once the winner is pronounced, all boats move to either Milna or Šolta for the celebration party.

Boat trips to the Blue Cave, blue lagoon, on the island of Biševo are available several times per week from Milna. Besides the Blue Cave, this excursion includes a visit to the island of Vis, the Stiniva bay, the Green Cave, Pakleni islands and the town of Hvar. (
